What can Crookham Counselling offer you?

Hello, my name is Sarah Sherman, MBACP, Counsellor and Psychotherapist, professionally qualified registered member of the BACP.  I provide Integrative therapy, in which I draw from several different perspectives and schools of thought for the most appropriate approach to therapy that suits each individual person's issues. My therapeutic work is personally tailored to you at the current stage of your life.  My role is to assist and empower you to help yourself whilst respecting your right to work at a pace that suits you.

I recognise that seeking help can be difficult, so please rest assured that you will be offered a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your feelings.  You are always in control of your therapy and choose how you wish to progress.

The wide range of issues I work with include: depression, anxiety, bereavement, self harm, stress, panic disorder, relationship difficulties, (including couples therapy)  trauma, abuse, grief and loss, anger, low self esteem, life limiting illness, loneliness, post traumatic stress and general counselling.

I have a special interest in grief and the loss associated with bereavement. For the past few years I have worked in a local hospice, providing counselling for life limited or terminal patients and their families and friends.  I am also interested in the family support network and relationships between couples.  I offer couples therapy for those experiencing relationship difficulties.

I provide one to one and couples counselling sessions for adults, the elderly and young people in a confidential and comfortable private setting.  Free car parking is available right outside in a village setting yet easily accessible from Church Crookham, Fleet, Farnborough, Aldershot, Crondall, Farnham, Hartley Wintney, Hook and the surrounding areas.

Daytime, evening and some weekend appointments are available.  See my Contact page for my office hours.   I offer a reduced cost first assessment appointment for individuals seeking to try out counselling and a discounted rate for Counselling Students/those in financial need.    See FAQ for further information

"80% Of clients that seek therapy end up feeling in a better place than those who don't have help." (ICCE, International Centre for Clinical Excellence.com)

Counselling offers you a private place to talk about your feelings and issues.  I am trained to confidentially listen, without judgement, in order to help you improve your life in a way that works for you.

Starting therapy can sometimes be viewed as defeat - a failure to cope, but really it is the beginning of a stronger, healthier emotional person taking back their power to make choices that build esteem and ability to cope.
